Get ready for an inspiring evening filled with stories and wisdom from one of our favourite authors, Patrick Regan OBE. Patrick is the founder of Kitsingi Hope and champions mental health and wellbeing. He has written a number of books including; Honesty over silence, When Faith Gets Shaken and Brighter Days. He has now founded Brighter Days.Life to improve mental health in the work place. This in-person event will take place at St John The Baptist (Grove Parish Church).

Every day, millions of Christians risk their lives to follow Jesus. In more than 70 countries, Open Doors supports them by supplying Bibles, providing emergency relief and helping persecuted believers stand strong for the long-term. In the UK and Ireland, Open Doors helps the church to pray, give and speak out for those who share our faith but not our freedom.

We are pleased to welcome Claire and Nick Page, who will be sharing about the vital work of Open Doors.

As we consider the needs of others, we will also be taking up Harvest donations for the Wantage & Grove Food Bank, in the form of dry goods and / or cash.

Join us for a quiz night with a difference! The Enigma Evening involves a series of cryptic puzzles that you will need to solve as a team. Included in the evening is a Bring & Share buffet, as well as a short gospel message.

The event will be suitable for families, and we encourage church members to invite their friends and neighbours. Speak to Jez Fernandez (pastor) for more information.

Wantage Baptist Church and The King’s Centre (on King’s Walk) will be open during Dickensian Evening, offering free refreshments, carols to join in with, and a friendly welcome.

All are welcome to our special Christma service, with a range of traditional carols for you to join in with.

Free refreshments will be served after the service. We would love to welcome and chat with you.
