We are priviliged to hold a central location in the heart of a growing market town. God has richly blessed us over many years, through the faithful service and giving of so many.
As you come into the building and look straight ahead to the central arch, you will see a wooden cross and the words, “Jesus Christ Is Lord”. Jesus is our primary focus as a church, as we seek to glorify him and worship him in spirit and truth (John 4:24). We look to the two greatest commandments as our guiding principles (Matthew 22:37-40):
1. To love the Lord God with all our heart, soul and mind
2. Love your neighbour as yourself
In short, our goal is to love God and one another more and more.
As a Bible-centred church, our main emphasis is listening to the Bible carefully explained and applied to contemporary life. Teaching takes place both on Sundays and mid-week. We’ll help you learn how to live for God in His world today and enjoy a personal relationship with him through our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. Our morning sermons are live streamed on YouTube, so you can watch online if you’re unable to make it in person.
We include a mixture of traditional and contemporary music, prayers and regular communion. Our church family is made up of all sorts of people, at all stages of life and from many parts of the world. We are committed to making our services accessible and helpful for everyone.
Young ones are very welcome and we have a thriving youth and children’s ministry. We run a crèche for the very young, along with a range of youth groups during the service.
Our usual morning worship includes prayer, Bible reading, songs of worship, testimony and preaching. We then enjoy fellowship together over tea, coffee and light refreshments after the service. On the third Sunday of the month, we celebrate Communion around the Lord’s table. All those who know Jesus as Saviour are invited to join us in this act of remembrance.
